Chapter Fourteen

Ahmad couldn’t think about anything other than claiming her mouth. He might not have remembered the first time he kissed her but he would surely remember this time. Just one taste of her and he wanted more. He’d been a fool back then and maybe he was a fool this time, but at least this time he’d remember what her lips tasted like.

In the limo he hadn’t been able to take his eyes off her hands, which she’d kept nervously twisting on her lap. He’d wanted to hold them, or better yet, feel them on him. And her lips, her beautiful, luscious lips. He wanted them on his skin—anywhere would do. So full and pink, he could stare at them all day and all night.

When was the last time he’d kissed someone? He tried to remember and all he could think about were sloppy kisses that tasted like cheap liquor. His college frat days. After that, he’d been living at home with his mom and when women found that out, they weren’t as likely to kiss him. Then, when he’d began making money, and a name for himself, but he’d been the one to steer clear. Their kisses would’ve come with too high of a price.

Would Toni’s kisses come with a price? He hadn’t really thought about it and didn’t care.

All he did care about was how her mouth felt on his, how his body felt pressed against hers.

Wonderful and wonderful.

He had one hand on the back of her scalp, his fingers lacing through her beautiful hair, feeling the silky texture of her strands. The other hand gripped her hip.

At first, when he’d turned toward her and walked her back to the wall and kissed her, he’d assumed she would stop him with words or even a hand. She was smart and witty and always had something to say, but not this time. She let him press her back against the wall and when his lips descended on hers, she let out a small moan. He took that as his invitation and before she could change her mind, he slipped his tongue between her lips and delved inside her mouth. He kissed her lips and sucked her tongue, taking his time to explore her mouth and drink in the taste of her.

His heart beat so hard he swore she’d be able to feel it against her chest. His breaths were heavy, as were hers. It didn’t take long for her tentative probe of his mouth to become passionate and needy—soon she was exploring his mouth just as he did hers. Her hands held tight to his arms then went to his chest. He thought she was pushing him away, so he tried his best to stop and pull back. He’d been wrong to be this aggressive with her, but when he stepped away, she murmured her objection and roamed her hands down his chest to his stomach then around to his back where she pulled him closer.

He let out a deep moan and obliged, pressing his hips on hers, grinding against her.
